During Lent, members of St. Anthony are encouraged to read Christopher Pramuk’s book Hope Sings, So Beautiful: Graced Encounters Across the Color Line. We will introduce the book and the discussion on Thursday, February 27, when Dr. Pramuk visits us for an evening of conversation and music.
The book is a spiritual, theological and personal reflection on what it means to live in America as a person of faith reflecting on the racial issues that are so difficult and painful to address. As a parish that values diversity and embraces the call to justice embodied in Catholic Social Teaching, what is our prophetic role? How can we be part of a transformation–personal and societal? Over the coming weeks, parishioners are invited to share their insights on this blog.
